- The program _c_o_n_f_i_g_k_f_s finds and allows users to mount
- AppleShare volumes from AppleShare servers on the network.
- It is a semifriendly interactive front-end to the _m_o_u_n_t(1m)
- and _m_o_u_n_t__k_f_s(1m) programs. Users who have X displays
- should use the vastly superior _x_k_t_a_l_k(1) program. The flags
- are defined as follows:
-
- ----aaaa look in all zones (default is the local zone)
-
- ----OOOO look for servers with this name (default is all
- servers)
-
- ----TTTT look for this type of server (default is AFPServer)
-
- ----ZZZZ look in this zone (default is local zone)
-
- This program looks for all AppleShare servers that match the
- specified options. It then asks if you want to mount a
- volume from them. If you choose to do so, it will prompt
- you for a user name, password (if necessary), then give you
- the option of mounting each available volume from the
- server. If run by the super-user, it will give the option
- of saving the mount information so the volume can be
- remounted with a simple _m_o_u_n_t(1m) command. Volumes that are
- mounted with _c_o_n_f_i_g_k_f_s can be unmounted with _u_m_o_u_n_t(1m)
-
- Normally, only the super-user can run _m_o_u_n_t(1m). If you
- make the _c_o_n_f_i_g_k_f_s program setuid root, it will allow normal
- users to mount AppleShare volumes (but not NFS or real file
- systems).
-
- When you initially mount a volume, the password is prompted
- for and used. If you choose to have the password saved to
- /_e_t_c/_f_s_t_a_b, it will be saved in encrypted form.
-

- This program is superseded by the _x_k_t_a_l_k GUI. It should
- only be used when there is no display available.
